It was my 8 year old son who was the true inspiration behind MADE BY ME cooking school. My kids love to cook and explore in the kitchen with me. My oldest wanted to get involved with children’s cooking classes and that is when I discovered there were not any around the East Bay area. That is when I asked myself, “Why can’t I do this?”
I have my bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management from Southern New Hampshire University. I started off as a Culinary Arts Major but changed when a guest speaker came to class and told us that we could never have both, a family and be a chef, because the hours would not work with family life. My major changed but my passion for cooking didn’t.
When I am not busy with my own 2 children, I enjoy creating new recipes, being outside and entertaining family and friends.
My purpose for MADE BY ME Cooking School is to spark an interest in something that is a lifelong skill, urge children to be creative and to support the art of cooking while having fun.
